GACA will go on a visit to the United States to enhance technical cooperation and review investment opportunities in the aviation sector

A delegation from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) headed by the President of GACA, Mr. Abdul Hakeem Al Tamimi will start an official visit to the United States, during which, the president of GACA will meet with a group of aviation and air transport officials in a number of US States.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with the president of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  Also during the visit, the delegation will meet with the heads of major American companies in the field of airports construction, technical systems, airports management, aviation system, aviation and air navigational systems, in addition to planned meetings with heads US carriers.
 
GACA delegation will hold bilateral meetings with the executive leaders of the largest US companies specializing in airports constructions, and aviation consultancy firm specializing in the field of aviation sector.
 
The Saudi delegation is expected to brief their American counterparts on the vast investment environment in the Kingdom.  They are likely to brief them on the promising investment opportunities in the civil aviation sector in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030.  They will also highlight the very active privatization program in the Kingdom.
 
The President of GACA have said in a press statement that the visit comes within the framework of mutual visits between the aviation authorities of the two countries.  It aim to enhance the technical cooperation in the field of aviation industry and air transport.  It meant to emphasize the importance of cooperation and integration between the two countries in this field.
 
Al Tamimi stressed the importance of the civil aviation industry and the air transport market in the Kingdom.  A field that is witnessing a steady economic development, in addition to the growth of air traffic in the Kingdom’s environment, which requires the establishment of the infrastructure to keep pace with this growth.  This is achieved through strengthening partnership with developed companies and houses of expertise in the aforementioned field.  Also the need the capital investment in the Kingdom airports.
 
The delegation included a number of concerned departments at GACA, including airports sector, information technology and communication, economic policies, air transport and project sector.  This in addition to the participation the Saudi Civil Aviation Academy.
