GACA participates in the 33rd annual janadriyah festival with free training courses for kids

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) will be participating for the second time in the 33rd session of the National Festival of Heritage and Culture (janadriyah) which will be launched under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
 
GACA participation in this important event is a necessity, where the event has a high public attendance throughout its duration. Likewise, the role the festival plays in preserving Saudi heritage, popular folklore and the local culture.
 
The aim of the festival is to expand the interest in the local culture and preserve features of the local environment through lessons and experience. Lectures and cultural seminars will be given, and arrays of representations of each region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
 
This year janadriyah festival will witness the participation of many local, regional and international organizations, which reflects the importance of the festival and the Kingdom leading role in the fields of culture and civilization.
 
GACA is keen to participate in this national event with its own pavilion to introduce visitors and participants to the history of civil aviation in the Kingdom in general and the history of Saudi airport in particular. It will also be a chance to introduce the audience to the success stories that the aviation industry have went through from the beginning until now.
 
The General Supervisor for Corporate Communications and Marketing, Mr. Talal Al Obailan, said in a statement that the GACA’s pavilion will contribute in introducing the public to the mega projects that had been carried out by GACA and the ones that are currently being implemented. This in addition to future projects aimed at developing the airports network and upgrade services offered to passengers and to the Kingdom’s visitors alike.
 
It is worth mentioning that GACA’s pavilion at janadriyah festival will display a series of aviation information to help the public in overcoming flying phobia. It will also review the history of civil aviation in the Kingdom through a series of historical photos of Saudi airports. Also on display will be a set of aircraft models dating back to the onset of Saudi aviation. Current and future international and domestic airports projects will also be on display. The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation will have a pavilion as well, providing simulated classes in security, fire, and rescue during the duration of the festival.
