Signing Air Transport Services Agreement with Cameroon


The Republic of Cameroon signed an air transport services agreement represented by His Excellency Suleiman bin Abdullah Al Hamdan, Minister of Transport and President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and the Cameroonian Minister of Transport HE Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o at the headquarters of the Ministry of Transport in Riyadh.
 
After the signing ceremony, HE Al Hamdan confirmed in his statement that the Kingdom’s leading position in civil aviation field in the region and its commitment to developing cooperation in the air transport field reflects the unremitting efforts of Saudi Arabia to achieve further growth and development of the sector, and to provide all facilities and cooperation to serve the pilgrims.
 
The Cameroonian Minister of Transport thanked in his speech the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz as well as the Saudi Government for their cooperation with the Republic of Cameroon to overcome the difficulties facing the visitors of the Kingdom from the Republic of Cameroon. He also extended his sincere thanks to HE Al Hamdan, Minister of Transport, for his full support for the completion of this agreement.
 
The agreement included several regulatory clauses that guarantee the right of both parties for the rights granted and pluralistic appointment in addition to clauses related to air safety, aviation security and route schedule for the agreed-upon rights, in addition to other clauses in regard to the cooperation in air transport services.
 
The signing ceremony was attended by Cameroon Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mr. Iya Tijani, and Director General of Air Transport at the General Authority for Civil Aviation Mubarak Mashour Al Shahrani and Director of Bilateral Agreements and International Treaties at the Authority Mr. Mohammed Hassan Izmerli.
