The Civil Aviation Authority carries out a training course entitled Cargo Security

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) conducted a training course on (Freight Security) in cooperation with the British Ministry of Transport, in addition to several security agencies working at the airports.  The training course lasted for the duration of five days.

 

The aim of the course is to improve the level of service at airports, raise the level of administrative and leadership skills, exchange experience and improve the performance and services provided, especially with regard to the security apparatus within the airports.

 

The course shed light on security procedures at airports; provide personnel with the expertise needed and ways of dealing with security equipment’s.  This in addition to helping personnel in keeping abreast of the progress and rapid developments related to aviation security.  Furthermore, it is a chance to provide the staff with latest security development applied in international airports and to keep them up to date to the latest of specialized global firms’ knowledge on solutions regarding passengers and luggage screenings.

 

 

At the conclusion of the training sessions, the Assistant to GACA President for Aviation Security, Mr. Mohammed Al Fawzan, and the British Consulate to Saudi Arabia presented the certificates for the training sessions to the participants.
