GACA Board of Directors approves its new fiscal year’s budget


 
The Board of Directors at the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) held its meeting yesterday in Riyadh, under the chairmanship of Mr. Suliman Alhamdan, Transport Minister and GACA Chairman during which a number of topics were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting, H.E. the Transport Minister and GACA Chairman conveyed his utmost congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister on the occasion of a successful 1437 pilgrimage’s season.  Likewise he congratulated the leadership for the winning a seat at the ICAO elections during the 39th General Assembly Meeting which was held in Montreal, Canada, as the Kingdom achieved a great victory in winning that seat along the other ICAO 36 member state.
The Board of Directors approved a number of topics on its agenda, where it approved GACA draft budget for the year 1438-1439.  The Board also approved the final accounts for the fiscal year 1436-1437.
The Board members also reviewed the report on the latest development on airport cities projects, and watched a presentation given by the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage about exhibition programs and conferences.   In addition to a presentation on tourism venues, they also reviewed the most important currents projects, most notably the development of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and the development of terminal one, two, three and four at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.  The Board was also briefed on the implementation of GACA strategic plan.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Mr. Saleh Almuhanna, Finance Ministry’s Undersecretary for finance and accounts, in addition to Dr. Hamad Alsmaeel Vice Chairman of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, also in attendance Eng. Abdullah Aljarboua planning adviser to the Ministry of Economy and Planning and last but not least Mr. Majed Albawardi, Ministry of Commerce consultant and supervisor for information technology.
