Taif International Airport receives its local hero with roses


Taif International Airport directorate celebrated a local hero arrival at the airport, AL Andalusia elementary school student Mishaal Alsawat for placing second worldwide in The Young Khwarizmi Math Contest 2016.
Officials at the airport met the student with roses as a gesture of social initiative taken by the airport management toward distinguished sons of Taif province.
The Director General of Taif International Airport, Eng. Abdul-wahab Bukhari pointed to the important role the airport plays in the community, noting the importance of social participation in Taif Province.  He went on to say, “Today, we’re delighted to receive our local hero Mishaal, for winning the second prize in the world Small Khwarizmi 2016 contest, saying that this is our national duty to encourage our youngsters and those who are academically gifted, and this shows how far the quality of education in the Kingdom reached, especially in the light of what have been witnessed in the field of education.  He valued the continuous and sustained support of the Kingdom’s wise leadership, something which we all proud of”.
The DG of Taif International Airport went on to say; “This initiative is part of our social engagement with the people of the province, and the airport is always encouraging such occasions, in celebrating our fellow citizens, those who excel in the local and international arena, Mishaal he said is one of those heroes and the airport played a role in receiving him and in celebrating his achievements.
