RIYADH, 28 March 2017
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Emir of Riyadh, and His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, honored the General Authority of Civil Aviation for its active participation in the 10th Travel and Tourism Investment Convention.

The Authority’s booth at the convention, held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center from the 26th through the 30th of March, showcased airports in the Kingdom, as well as the Authority’s past, ongoing, and future megaprojects.

Basem Al-Salloum, Deputy to the President of the Authority for Corporate Communications and Marketing, praised the attention given to the convention by senior government officials.

He stressed that the Authority spares no effort to have a presence in conventions that contribute to the national economy, or to inform the public of its achievements and ongoing and future projects.

Salloum added that the forum was important because it tackled issues concerning travel, tourism, and investment in these sectors.
He reiterated that the Kingdom’s tourism and civil aviation sectors are strategically symbiotic, and, together, they form one major industry.
The Commission for Tourism and National Heritage organized the convention, in its 10th iteration this year, under the banner “Tourism is where all industries meet.”

The convention is the travel and tourism industry’s top annual event, bringing together professionals and government officials to discuss challenges that face the development of investment in tourism in the Kingdom.

With more than 200 establishments and 14 exhibitors participating, the convention aims to promote investment opportunities and facilitate partnerships among national and international travel and tourism corporations.
