Transportation Minister Meets 2nd class of Future Leaders Graduates

26th March, 2017
His Excellency Sulaiman Al-Hamdan, Minister of Transportation and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, received the second class of graduates in the Future Leaders program.

Overseen by the Authority’s Central Services sector, the program aims to qualify trainees and hone their skills based on the highest standards. Part of their training is carried out at some of the world’s best airports, such as Singapore’s Changi Airport, where they would gain experience, learn new skills, and implement their acquired proficiency at Saudi airports and the Authority’s various sectors.

Thanking the Minister for meeting with the graduates, Naeem Al-Shabanah, Deputy to the President of the Authority for Central Services, reiterated that Hamdan’s directives are behind the success of the program, which had been initiated in 2015.

He pointed out that the graduates have demonstrated great skill and proficiency after they had gained experience and grown their skills through the program.

Shabanah added that, through this program, the Authority trains talented bachelor’s and master’s degree holders in technical and administrative disciplines, so as to enable the Authority to stay abreast with future developments, secure innovative excellence, and boost effectiveness to ultimately help achieve the Kingdom Vision 2030.

“The Human Resources department at the Authority keenly launched several initiatives to develop our corporate culture and achieve our strategies,” he said. “The Future Leaders program is one of those initiatives that aim to strengthen the Authority’s human capital and give young Saudis an opportunity to channel their energies towards the service of their country and nurture their capabilities.”

He stressed that graduates had gone through academic and on-the-job training, and were continually evaluated through every stage of the program.

Since the Authority launched the program in 2015, many trainees in technical and administrative fields have graduated, with some of them filling leading positions at airports.
