GACA Launches “Saudi Airports” Mobile Application to Serve Passengers


The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has launched the trial version of its mobile application “Saudi Airports,” for both i and Android smart devices. Offering several benefits and services to the users, the application was launched as part of the GACA's technical initiatives to facilitate the services provided to passengers, in line with the widespread of mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets.
 
Engineer Tariq O. Alabduljabbar Assistant VP for Domestic Airports, stated, “GACA strives to play its role in the development of the Kingdom, and enabling the civil aviation sector to contribute to Vision 2030. This includes offering the best and highest quality services to the passengers and visitors of Saudi airports.”
 
Al-Abduljabbar added that in this era of technology, there is a high demand on faster methods for reaching out and communicating. That is why GACA has decided to offering a unique experience for travellers through the Kingdom’s airports.
 
He emphasized that the application will contribute to improving the quality of services provided to passengers and that it would also help passengers save time and effort.
 
The application is still in its trial version, and specialized departments at GACA will continue to enhancing it to become one of the leading applications that serve passengers.
 
In its current phase, the “Saudi Airports” application includes a number of services and benefits, such as the internal navigation service to the arrival terminals and all the airport’s facilities; restaurants, cafes and banks. It also offers the parking lot navigation and location saving, to enable passengers to park their cars and easily navigate their way back when done.
 
The application also includes the flight information and tracking service, and submitting reports to the customer care center. New services will also be added as the application gets further developed.
