More than (7) thousand flights carrying pilgrims arrived at the Kingdom GACA declare a success the arrival phase at each of KAIA and PMIA

GACA announces the success of its operational plan for this year Hajj season’s arrival at each of King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport (PMIA) in Madinah.  It has received all pilgrims arriving by air.

 

The arrival phase for this year Hajj season, started on the 1st of Dul Qidah, 1440, corresponding to the 4th of July 2019, and ending in the 4th of Dul Hija, corresponding to the 5th of August, 2019.  The number of flights arriving for this year Hajj season have reached (7389) in total, of which (4322) flight arrived at KAIA in Jeddah and (3067) flight arrived at PMIA in Madinah.

 

For his part, His Excellency, the president of GACA, Mr. Abdalhadi Al Mansouri, stressed that the success of the operational plan for the arrival phase at both KAIA and PMIA is due to the implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince (may Allah bless them both).   The directives was to provide the best possible services to the pilgrims, furthermore, to provide them with all the needed services and facilitate their arrival procedures in order for them to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.

 

His Excellency also extended his thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, and to HRH Prince Khalid Alfaisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, and his Deputy, HRH Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.  He went on to extend his thanks to HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, and to Deputy Governor, HRH Prince Saud bin Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, and to His Excellency, Dr. Nabeel Al Amoudi, Transport Minister and Chairman of GACA for their great efforts and for their continuous follow-up in the development of the operational plan, which achieved this great success.  He went on to thank all the entities operating within the airport, be it public, or private in each of KAIA in Jeddah and PMIA in Madinah.

 

His Excellency, the president of GACA went on to mention the great success of the operational plan for the arrival phase during this Hajj season.  Noting, that one of the main objectives of the plan was the implementation of the highest level of services for the pilgrims.  His Excellency also stressed the keenness of GACA in facilitating entry procedures and to reduce the waiting time for both arrival and departure.  This in addition to GACA dedicating all of its resources, when receiving the guests of Allah, in coordination with all government and private entities operating at the airports.  He pointed out that GACA has worked to improve the experience of each pilgrim from his arrival, until his departure.

 

It is worth mentioning that during this Hajj season, GACA and through a specialized department applied several precise standards to improve the pilgrims’ experience.  GACA ensured that all facilities was in tip-top shape and went out of its way to facilitate all needed procedures.
