A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Kingdom and South Korea for cooperation in the field of airports

His Excellency the Transport Minister, Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Eng. Saleh Al Jasser, signed today in his office today, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of airports with His Excellency the Minister of Lands, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea, Ms. Kim Hyun-mee.
 
The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of airports and technological exchange, and participation of the two countries in projects to establish, operate, manage and maintain airports, in accordance with the legislation in force in both countries.
 
The MoU between the two friendly nations included several areas of cooperation, the most prominent of which is the exchange of experiences, information and knowledge regarding airports, its management. Furthermore, work on updating, and the development of policies and instructions related to safety and quality, methods of managing airport facilities. This in addition to providing technical and professional services, and participating in training courses and work sessions related to the field of airports, The MoU also encourages the exchange of visits of experts and specialists between the two countries.
 
The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and South Korea on the cooperation in the field of airports comes within the framework of enhancing economic cooperation and partnership between the two friendly countries. Furthermore, the memorandum will also contribute to the exchange of experiences and information and keeping abreast with the latest developments and modern technologies on smart airports.
