The victims of the New Zealand’s accident arrive at King Abdulaziz International Airport to perform Hajj

The victims of the terrorist attacks that targeted two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand arrived today at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to perform the Hajj rituals.  An invitation was put forward by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to host 200 pilgrims of the victims of the attacks and their families through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Hajj and Umrah guest program.  The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance supervise the program.

Upon their arrival at the airport, they were met by a number of Ministry officials on behalf of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif Al- Alsheikh, New Zealand ambassador to the Kingdom, Mr. James Munro and a number of GACA officials.

For their part, the families of the victims of the New Zealand attack thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince for hosting them to perform the Hajj ritual and for all the services provided to them and to all the pilgrims from around the world.

Furthermore, they commented on the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting terrorism, standing up against the perpetrators, resist and eradicate them.  This in addition to alleviating the pain of the families who has been subjected to this abominable act that violates all divine teachings and humanitarian values and principles.
