The Board of Directors at the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), held a meeting on Tuesday in Riyadh under the chairmanship of Mr. Suliman Alhamdan, chairman of the Board of Directors during which they reviewed a number of topics related to civil aviation.
At the start of the meeting, the Board praised Vision 2030, which is the most comprehensive and useful for the country under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince. 
The Board pointed out that GACA is moving forward to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership and contribute to Vision 2030 by working tirelessly with an ambitious plan for the privatization of the airports in the Kingdom and convert them into a financial powerhouse and an honorable institution offering the highest quality of services to the travelling public.
The Board reviewed the latest development projects at King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahad International Airport in Dammam, the Board also reviewed reports on safety, security sector, air transport and central services sector.
Following the completion of the meeting, the Board members toured the new Terminal 5 building at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The meeting was attended by member of the Board of Directors, Planning Advisor at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Mr. Abdullah Aljarbou, and the undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for planning and follow up, Eng. Faisal Alzaben, Advisor to the Minster of Trade and Industry and General Supervisor of Information Technology, Mr. Majed Albawardri, also in attendance the undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for Finance and Accounts, Mr. Saleh Almahana, as well as the vice president for investment and tourism development at the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, Dr. Hamad Alsameel, also in attendance Board members, Eng. Abdullah Alzamil, as well as, Eng. Abdulrahman Alrawaita, in addition to the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Civil Aviation Holding Company, Dr. Faisal Alsugair, and Assistant to the GACA President for financial Affairs, Mr. Abdul-Aziz Alangri.
