Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah first in the Middle East

Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah received the first place in airport category with a capacity of 5 to 15 million passengers in the Middle East region.  Airport Council International (ACI) announced the winners of airport service quality awards for the year 2017.  Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport also received second place for best airport in the Middle East for airports with annual capacity of 2 million passengers, according to the results of customer satisfaction survey for airport services provided at international airports.  A number of 343 international airports participated in the survey.
 
In the main time, the president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Mr. Abduhakeem Al Tamimi thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince, Minister of Defense, may God bless them both for their valued support to the transport and aviation sector in the Kingdom.  He also thanked HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman, the governor of Madinah region and HRH Prince Saud bin Khalid Alfaisal deputy governor of Madinah region for the support that the airport gets from both men, which contributed to the airport achieving this valuable award.
 
Mr.  Altamimi attributed the reception of this valuable award to the global affirmation and the application of the highest standards of quality services at the airport and the excellence of management of service rendered to the passengers.   This reflect to the commitment of the airport employees in achieving the best service results according to the best international standards.  This success confirms the true integration between the different government and security sectors in providing the highest caliber of quality services, while adhering to a set of formal and security procedures.
 
Mr. Altamimi reaffirmed that Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah became the first airport in the Kingdom to receive this award from ACI, noting to the efforts of the airport authority in Madinah and Taibah Airport Company for providing the high quality service to its passengers in all airport facilities.  He added that this part of GACA efforts in promoting civil aviation industry in the kingdom and enhance its role in achieving the goals and objectives of the Kingdom vision 2030.  All in effort to support the national economy, which proves the successful partnership experience with the private sector in the development of this vital industry.
 
For his part, Mr. Sufian Abdul Salam, General Manager of the Taibah Airport Company expressed his happiness with the award given to the airport and said “that the prize was a reflection of the success achieved by the airport, since the opening of the new facility in the middle 2015.  We have been able to achieve many goals and achievement with our partners, that reflects our commitment to provide a premium travel experience based on passenger assessment”.
