GACA Concludes Its Participation in the World Defense Show 2024

The General Authority of Civil Aviation has concluded its participation in the World Defense Show 2024, held in Riyadh from February 4 to 8, 2024. The event was organized by the General Authority for Military Industries and saw the participation of over 750 exhibitors from around the globe.

Throughout the event, the General Authority of Civil Aviation's booth attracted numerous visitors with specialized interests in the air transport sector. These visitors gained insights into the crucial programs and initiatives offered by the system in line with the Saudi Aviation Strategy. This strategy aims to achieve an annual passenger count of 330 million, serving over 250 destinations worldwide, and increasing its shipping capacity to 4.5 million tons of goods by 2030.

At the booth, attendees were introduced to promising opportunities within this vital sector and the latest innovations and solutions in aviation. Topics covered included Advanced Air Mobility, sustainability, advanced technologies and enhancing traveler experiences. Emphasis was placed on key programs and initiatives launched by GACA to meet the Saudi Aviation Strategy's objectives. These objectives included the Environmental Sustainability Program, National Integrated Airport Security Project, Civil Aviation and Passenger Rights Regulations.

In addition, these initiatives adhere to the latest international systems and standards, underscoring the Kingdom's global leadership in the air transport industry. Moreover, the booth provided an overview of notable record numbers and unprecedented achievements in economic and social development within the sector, highlighting its leading global presence and pioneering status at various levels. The presentation also showcased the Kingdom's advanced positions and global indicators in the air transport sector.
