GACA: A traveler with a temperature of more than (38) degrees will not be allowed to enter the Kingdom's airports according to the health authorities instructions

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) confirmed that travelers whose temperature are more than (38) degrees will not be allowed to enter the Kingdom's airports according to the health preventive protocols prepared by the competent health authorities. This is part of the precautionary and health measures implemented by GACA. The civil aviation authority revealed the procedures that passengers must follow when arriving at the airports that aims to ensure a safe trip. This is in addition to avoiding travel bans, if they to violate these specific obligations set by GACA and the Ministry of Health and followed within the airports.
 
Meanwhile, the Saudi aviation authority indicated that travelers have an obligation to purchase their tickets electronically, and have their temperature taken at the airport "those with body temperature of more than 38 degrees will not be allowed to enter the airport”. Passengers must arrive two hours before their flight departure time, and entry to the airport will be limited to passengers only, with the exception of those accompanying elderly and handicapped people. Passengers must be committed to wearing face masks and their commitment must be emphasized, where "the passengers will be prevented from traveling in the event he do not commit to wearing the masks. Sterilizing one’s hand is a must upon entering the terminal. Passengers must also wear face masks for the duration of the flight and while disembarking from the aircraft.
 
GACA stated that some of these obligations that the traveler must follows are sterilizing one’s hands through the designated sterilization devices spread inside the airport.  Passengers must commit to sterilizing their hands upon entering the terminal. This in addition to the commitment of maintaining a safe distance between passengers by standing on the guidance stickers placed on the terminal floor, while maintaining a distance of 2 meters between each traveler. In the waiting area, a special arrangement is followed by leaving an empty seat between each traveler. This is in addition to the required social distancing of 2 meters between the travelers and all service providers, restaurants and cafes, where payment is strictly limited to electronic means only.
 
The Authority indicated that travelers must adhere to a medical disclosure during the reservation and notification stage in the event of any symptoms of Coronavirus disease is present. Meanwhile, passengers are allowed one carry-on luggage to bring along into the aircraft’s cabin. The use of electronic payment methods is strongly encouraged, as way of reducing the dependence on banknotes. This in addition to avoiding close queuing in the boarding stages, inside shuttle buses and passenger bridges. Maintaining a safe social distance between travelers at all stages of travel, between passengers and the service providers, by standing on the guidance stickers placed on the terminal floor.
 
It is worth noting, that GACA has harnessed all of its capabilities and taken all measures and procedures to ensure a safe travel trip for travelers. It has scheduled flights so that the time periods between flights are no less than 3 hours until terminals and equipments are fully sterilized. GACA have also obligated all workers at the airports and air crews to sterilize and wear masks and face masks shield protectors. Furthermore, airport staff and cabin crews must be subjected to health examination. Meanwhile, sterilizers were provided throughout the airports, in addition to the continuous sterilization of airports "every 3 hours", and the continuous cleansing of all aircrafts after each flight.
