GACA President hands over the license of the Air Traffic Control School to King Faisal Air College

His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, handed over the license of the Air Traffic Control School to King Faisal Air College. This was during a meeting today with His Excellency the President GACA, with His Royal Highness Lieutenant-General Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force at GACA’s headquarters in Riyadh.

 

This license comes in the context of military-civilian cooperation to meet their growing practical needs for the use of Saudi airspace, and to achieve operational flexibility in a manner that enhances the safety, efficiency and smoothness of air traffic.

 

Under this license, graduates of air traffic control at King Faisal Air College, in addition to the military qualification, will obtain a license for aviation personnel issued by GACA.

 

It is worth noting that GACA is working on the National Air Navigation Plan, which will define the roadmap to achieve the integrated and comprehensive progress of the Saudi aviation sector by anticipating future challenges, such as unmanned systems, urban air transport, airspace capacity and performance-based navigation and is working to address them through a complete packages of improvements to the infrastructure and regulatory frameworks for human competencies, which ensure the sustainable growth of civil aviation activities in the Kingdom.
