The International Fire Service Accreditation Congress gives its approval to the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation

The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation, a body affiliated with the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), achieved a new international achievement after being approved by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) as one of the accredited members in the field of training. International Organization. The approval was bestowed during a recent international conference held in the State of the Kentucky, USA, attended by 74 members representing the organization’s accredited international members.

The President of the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation, Mr. Fahad Al Harbi, said in a statement that this achievement reflects the Kingdom's contributions in all fields, especially in the field of aviation training and fire and rescue sciences. The Academy's new international recognition is considered a new one, added to the previous recognition of the Academy's fire and rescue training services.  It documents the seven recent recognitions by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The accreditation of the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress will enable the Academy to hold (11) training packages through which trainees will be awarded internationally accredited certificates.

The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation received last April, the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress’s auditors who reviewed the equipment and techniques used at the fire and rescue training center.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation has started training about 2450 fire and rescue services staff working in various airports around the Kingdom during the past two years.

It is worth noting, that the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) was established in 1999 and is one of the authorities responsible for licensing fire and rescue services training centers around the world.
