GACA obtains the ISO 9001 certificate

The General Authority of Civil Aviation GACA), represented by the Aviation Safety and Environmental Sustainability Sector, obtained the ISO 9001 certificate. The ISO 9001 is the international certificate in the field of quality. The British Standards Center presented the certificate to GACA after it met all the necessary requirements, as part of GACA’s efforts to provide integrated oversight services with accuracy and efficiency, and to adopt the highest international standards in quality management.

A spokesperson for GACA explained that obtaining the ISO 9001 certificate confirms its keenness to raise the quality of regulatory services in the field of aviation safety and to promote environmental sustainability in the aviation sector. Obtaining the certificate also recognizes GACA’s efforts to implement the best local and international practices and regulatory standards to raise business efficiency and quality of outputs, monitor quality levels and manage operations, while continuously developing its business mechanism.

GACA’s obtaining the ISO 9001 certificate in the field of quality management accomplishes the objectives of the Saudi Aviation Strategy, by adopting programs and initiatives that contribute to the excellence of the work environment in all sectors and departments of GACA. It is also testament to the efficiency and strong capacity of GACA’s workforce, which performs its tasks related to technology, electronics, and general procedure in alignment with local and international standards.
