The arrival first US Airlines carrying pilgrims to king Abdulaziz International Airport

The first US Airlines flight arrived today at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah coming from Columbus, Ohio, carrying 168 passengers who will be performing Hajj this year. Thus, making it the first flight of a US airliner arriving at the Kingdom, since 1997.

 

Upon the pilgrims’ arrival, a number of officials from KAIA Directorate, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, plus the US Council General met them. The pilgrims were received with the usual hospitality and were presented with a small bouquet of roses.

 

For his part, the president of The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Mr. Abdalhadi Al-Mansouri, affirmed the keenness of GACA in providing all possible facilities for the arriving American flight. He indicated this would contribute in motivating the rest of the US Airlines to follow suit and operate flights between the two friendly nations.

 

His Excellency stressed the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince in providing all that is needed to improve the air transport system in the Kingdom. This is accomplished through the constant supervision by H.E. the Transport Minister to reach the inspiration of our wise leadership.
