GACA holds the third steering committee meeting to activate the aviation sector strategy

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) held the third Steering Committee meeting to activate the national strategy for the aviation sector, in the presence of His Excellency the President of GACA, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Duailej, and with the participation of H.E. the Undersecretary for Strategy and Business Intelligence in the Ministry of Tourism, Eng. Ahmed Taher Arab, CEOs and officials from representatives of companies operating in the civil aviation sector in the Kingdom, at the Rafal Kempinski Hotel in Riyadh.
 
The meeting discussed the most recent developments in the project to activate the national strategy for the aviation sector, and what was achieved regarding the recommendations of the second meeting of the steering committee to activate the strategy, and the extent of the sector's recovery from the (COVID-19) pandemic. This in addition to presenting the latest achievements of the aviation sector.
 
The meeting also reviewed the strategies of the Altanfeethi Offices Company, the Saudi Airlines Company for Aviation Engineering and Industry, the tourism strategy, and Saudi Airlines for Cargo. The meeting went on to address the priorities, objectives, directions and alignment with the national strategy for the aviation sector to contribute to creating a diversified and prosperous economy and support social and economic development in the Kingdom.
 
It is worth noting that the strategy of the civil aviation sector, emanating from the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, came to upgrade and develop the aviation sector to achieve the best results and achievements locally, regionally and internationally. Moreover to be the first leading sector in the Middle East and to be an important tributary in economic development. This in addition to enabling the national strategy for tourism, strengthening the local aviation sector and upgrading the connectivity network by increasing the number of international destinations, developing infrastructure and airport operations, improving the quality of services provided and increase the capacity of the Kingdom’s airports.
