Saudi Ground Services Company Organizes the Leadership in Safety Forum

Saudi Ground Services Company organized the “Leadership in Safety” Forum today in Riyadh, under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al‑Duailej, and in the presence of the CEO of Matarat Holding Company, Raed bin Hassan Al‑Idrissi, and the CEO of Saudi Ground Services Company, Mohammed Mazi. The event also included the participation of senior leaders and safety and operations executives from local and international airlines, as well as CEOs and representatives of strategic partners in the aviation sector, along with experts and specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom in the fields of safety and airport ground services, in addition to representatives from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Captain Suleiman bin Saleh Al‑Muhaimeedi, Executive Vice President for Aviation Safety and Sustainability at the General Authority of Civil Aviation, emphasized that operational safety represents the fundamental pillar of the civil aviation system in the Kingdom, and that strengthening it is a strategic priority in light of national ambitions to develop a world‑class aviation sector.

He explained that the coming phase requires establishing an advanced safety culture, institutional integration among all partners, and the application of best practices and international standards in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to position the Kingdom as a global center for aviation, tourism, and logistics services.

Al‑Muhaimeedi noted that the aviation safety system in the Kingdom is managed according to the highest professional standards and through a proactive methodology based on analysis and risk management. He affirmed that the positive indicators achieved reflect the commitment of the Authority and all sector entities to enhancing passenger safety and operational efficiency, supporting growth targets in the aviation sector and reinforcing sustainability within the objectives of the National Aviation Safety Program.

For his part, Mohammed Mazi, CEO of Saudi Ground Services Company, affirmed that the company is proud of the patronage of His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al‑Duailej for this forum. He noted that safety is the cornerstone of all the company’s operational activities, and that the forum serves as a strategic platform to strengthen leadership in safety and exchange expertise with local and international partners, contributing to the development of ground‑handling services and raising performance levels across all airports in the Kingdom.

The forum highlighted the latest global standards and practices in operational safety for ground‑handling services through specialized sessions and panel discussions presented by experts from the Authority, Saudi Ground Services Company, and international organizations. The discussions focused on innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development of operations to enhance performance and operational efficiency.
