GACA Participates in a roundtable virtual meeting in Oman

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), represented by the Assistant to the President for Operations, Eng. Sulimam bin Ahmed Al Bassam participated today in a roundtable meeting of the Executive Council of Oman,  organized by Oman Airports..
 
The meeting discussed the future of aviation, the economic crisis that countries are experiencing, and aviation plans.
 
The Assistant to GACA President for operations, Eng. Suliman bin Ahmed Al Bassam, pointed out the great efforts made by the Kingdom during the coronavirus pandemic and the precautionary measures taken by GACA to ensure a safe travel journey at Saudi airports. He noted that the Kingdom was able to lead during the crisis, where it efficiently reduced the repercussions 
 of the pandemic, through important, swift and resolute decisions. GACA has taken and imposed tight precautionary measures before any cases appeared, This in addition to its efforts to work on repatriating all citizens who wished to return from abroad through the (Safe Return Initiative).
 
It is worth noting, that the meeting, which was attended by the Director General of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Mr. Issam Fouad Nour, and the CEO of Dammam Airports Companies, Mr. Fahd bin Sulaiman Al Harbi. The meeting serves as a platform at a high level to discuss the challenges facing the sector under the new travel procedures imposed by the coronavirus pandemic worldwide. Furthermore, the meeting presented a chance to change experiences and creating common future fields of work.
