The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation provides specialized programs and centers to develop the skills of airport workers

The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation, an affiliate of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), has provided several programs and set up a number of centers in civil aviation sciences with the aim of training national cadres at the highest levels.  Furthermore, it provide a language proficiency test for pilots, controllers and air transporters (SAELPT), as well as providing four training centers, which are the Air Navigation Services Training Center, the Aviation Security Training Center, the Fire and Rescue Training Center, and the Airport Operation Training Center. All to develop the skills of airport workers, raise their competencies, develop their expertise and upgrade their performance level.

 

During the last period, the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation was able to achieve many distinguished achievements, to register itself among the leading academies in the Middle East, and to receive international accreditations and recognitions from the largest international aviation organizations, led by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association.  (IATA). Moreover, the academy has become a leading educational entity in the region, providing educational content appropriate to the needs of the civil aviation industry through a set of specialized programs and courses. This in addition to contributing to the qualification and training of the human cadres working to support (29) airports in the Kingdom, in addition to providing programs and courses in the specializations of Air surveillance, aviation systems maintenance, fire and rescue, airport operation, and aviation security.

 

Meanwhile, in continuation of the achievements, the Academy renewed its international partnerships and alliances with international organizations, including winning the membership and seat of the Global Aviation Training Council of the( ICAO), and launching the online portal for the International Fire Services Accreditation Council (IFSAC) exams on its website to empower all workers in the field of fire and rescue in the various airports of the Kingdom to obtain accredited certificates according to international references. This in addition to obtaining the accreditation of the Airports Council International (ACI-ATI) as the second training center in the world after the Munich Airport Training Center in Germany, and the renewal of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) accreditation of the Saudi Academy as an accredited international training center (ATC). This in addition to signing a memorandum of understanding with King Abdulaziz University to establish a research center specializing in the fields of air transport and aviation sciences, and signing partnership agreements in the field of training with the Saudi Ground Services Company (SGS), the Saudi Airlines Catering Company, the Tanfeethi Company, and the Saudi Al-Amad Services Company for the purpose of training and qualifying the employees of various companies in the academy.
