GACA highlights investment opportunities in the aviation sector with some of the major American companies

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in cooperation with the Saudi-American Business Council organized a roundtable meeting with some of the major US companies in the field of civil aviation.  Representatives of the relevant departments at GACA, namely, Airports, Information Technology and Communication, Economic Policies, Air Transport, and Projects Sector attended the meeting; also in attendance was the Saudi Aviation Academy.  They met with more than 50 representatives of companies representing several disciplines that included construction, technical systems, airport operation, aviation services, air navigational services and much more.
 
The president of GACA, Mr. Abdul Hakim Al Tamimi, delivered a speech at the meeting, during which he welcomed the attending audience and reviewed the investment opportunities in the aviation and air transport sector in the Kingdom.   A wide variety of investment opportunities for airport operation and the provision of advances consultancy services was also discussed.
 
Al Tamimi confirmed that GACA is working to keep pace with the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030, in an effort to become a global logistical center linking three different continents and receiving in excess to 30 million pilgrims.
 
During the meeting, the companies were briefed on the development of the investment environment in the Kingdom, along with the overall investment opportunities in the aviation sector.  All these efforts comes in line with objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030, which also include privatization opportunities that GACA is working on.
 
On the other hand, GACA President met with airline officials and discussed means of cooperation for direct flights to and from the United States.
 
Mr. Al Tamimi also met the CEO of Cohen Group, Mr. William Cohen and discussed possible opportunities in the aviation advisory services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
