Al-Tamimi NEOM project represents unprecedented qualitative leap in economy of country

H.E Mr. Abdul Hakim Al Tamimi, President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA), said that the NEOM project, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Public Investment Fund, represents an unprecedented quality leap in the economy and development in Saudi Arabia, since 1932.
 
He also stressed civil aviation will play an important role in this giant project, especially in the field of linking all continents around the world (Asia, Europe, Africa and America).  In addition, the ability of a large number of the world's population to reach any given site within hours by air.  The role of air transport will be effective in enabling the region to become an unrivaled and logistics center.
 
"This project is the first of its kind in the Middle East, if not in the entire world. It covers an area of 26,500 sq. km and will extend to an area of unique features and resources in three countries (Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan).  This will be in the middle of the three main continents, in addition to the Kingdom's support will be provided by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which will amount to more than 500 billion dollars, which will enhance and encourage commercial laws the region.
 
Al-Tamimi expected the project to achieve its objectives, especially the superiority of the world's major cities in terms of competitiveness and lifestyle, and to become the desired region, and a leading center for the whole world attracts the best and strongest companies in the world, as well as attracting a large capital, including redirecting Saudi spending abroad in all areas (tourism, health care, education, investments),and the project will also contribute significantly to the Kingdom's GDP.
 
He praised the modern method that will be used in this project through the presence of a drone as a mean of transport. He stressed that the General Authority for Civil Aviation will contribute in achieving this qualitative excellence by providing all its capabilities, efforts, regulations and technology to ensure the success of this goal.
 
At the end of his statement, His Excellency asked God to protect and keep the rulers of our Kingdom.
