The representative of the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) was appointed as a chairman to the GCC States Air Navigation Committee in a unanimous vote during the thirteenth meeting of the Air Navigation Committee meeting that was held last week in Kuwait.

The selections confirm the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to move forward and activate the joint GCC work through the existing committees.

With this selection, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will continue to preside over the Committee during the upcoming meetings including the preceding periods.

The meeting discussed a number of issues relating to the aviation fields, which included the harmonization of air navigation systems, coordination of air traffic control procedures and the smooth flow of air network routes.
