Civil Aviation organizes workshop specializing in airport security equipment

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) represented by the Aviation Security Sector organized a workshop specializing in (airport security equipment). The workshop lasted for the period five days on the development building at King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah. GACA cooperated in conducting the workshop with several government security agencies operating in airports and a number of specialized security companies have made a number of presentations about their security services.
 
HE the assistant to the president of Aviation Security, Mr. Mubarak Al-Shahrani, stressed the keenness of GACA on holding specialized workshops on aviation security, especially security equipment relating to airport security, in their constant effort to help employees in this field to gain experiences and dealing with this equipment at our airports.  Also to contribute in keeping abreast of progress and development the security services of aviation and be familiar with the methods and certain ways to apply them airports around the Kingdom.
 
Al-Shahrani pointed out that the (airport security equipment) workshop; aim to provide information about the new security techniques for the participants from security sectors working at the airports. The latest of the specialized international companies in the field of examination of passengers and their luggage.
 
The Assistant to GACA president added, that the participants during the workshop conducted experiments and practical tests on the security systems provided by the participating companies to consider the compatibility of available technologies with the requirements and security needs in the Kingdom's airports. He pointed out that the aviation security sector at GACA is keeping up with the latest developments in various security fields.
 
He stated the support and interest of the sector from His Excellency Mr. Abdul Hakim Al-Tamimi, president of GACA and his keenness in supporting such programs in order to achieve the desired goals. This will reflect the achievements of our kingdom in achieving the aspiration of the leadership and improve airports.
 
GACA honored the participants in the workshop (airport security equipment) specialized in aviation security, and thanked the security authorities that operates in the airports that participated in this workshop also the private companies that offered their security equipment to the airports during the workshop. The participants in the workshop carried out tests on the devices under the supervision of the security sectors in a hangar for the government's airplanes at king Abdul-Aziz international airport.
