Civil Aviation, International Federation of Aeronautics and Sports to discuss sports aviation issues in Kingdom

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Assistant to the president for aviation standers, Captain Abdulaziz Nqadi assured that the keenness of (GACA) on the regulatory framework to achieve the highest levels of safety and security in the practice of aeronautics activities, with facilitation of aviation procedures, and stressed on the regulations of aviation clubs.
 
" The General Authority of Civil Aviation  pay a great attention to the aeronautics, and operates under the guidance of the president Mr. Abdul Hakim Al-Tamimi for support and opportunity to develop it in the kingdom, especially that the space size of the kingdom provides an environment to exercising these sports, which find great forthcoming especially the youth. We also aim to support the aeronautics, but at the same time will provide high standards of safety through rules that ensure us achieving these goals." Nqadi added that in meeting with president of the international federation of the air sports, Mr. Frederick Brink and this accompanying delegation.
 
The president of the international federation of air sports, Ms. Brink was impressed by the efforts of Civil Aviation for supervising of 27 airports; he also stressed the importance of air sports in the aviation field, and the necessity of setting conditions for air sports, and safety laws to preserve the lives of those involved.  He went on to express his gratitude for the hospitality and reception that they received.
 
He added, “Our visit to the kingdom was very beneficial accumulated in a meeting with GACA, the meeting was positive and we expect that will it contribute effectively to improve the air sports in kingdom, and to activate the regulatory these sports. He extended an invitation for specialists to visit the International Federation of Athletics."
 
The president he Department of Sports and Recreational Authority,
 Captain Ahmad Al-Sudairy, provided a presentation on the regulations of GACA for this type of activity- the concept of granting licenses to aviation clubs that can be authorize to perform many sports activities.
 
Al-Sudairy added," Air sport activities including airships, aircraft models, unmanned aerial systems, super quick vehicles, and parachute. He pointed out that the meeting discussed methods to develop air sports, training activities, fixed-wing aircraft, and others."
