Hajj and Civil Aviation officials conduct a readiness inspection tour of the Hajj terminal

His Excellency, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Mohammed Benten and the Minister of Transport, chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Dr. Nabeel Al Amoudi, along with the president of GACA, Mr. Abdul Hakim Al Tamimi ran an inspection tour of Hajj and Umrah terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.  The inspection tour was to gauge the readiness status of the Hajj terminal and witness all efforts provided by all the different parties in serving our religious guest.
 
The visit comes within the framework of the directives of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to provide the best service to all pilgrims and Umrah takers.  The visit was conducted to ensure the operational readiness of the Hajj terminal and to double check on the smooth its operation, provide all services to the pilgrims, and facilitate their arrival procedures in order for them to perform their duties with ease and tranquility.
 
The officials followed all the steps taken on the field and met managers working at the terminal; this is in an effort to provide the best services to pilgrims and to finish their procedures with all the flexibility, speed and proficiency needed.  They were briefed on all the programs and on the present preparations used in the reception of the guests.  This is done on a high quality service standards and a comprehensive application of all technical system and electronic programs to facilitate procedures and provide all services on a timely manners.  All services are performed proficiently in cooperation with all the different government agencies related to Hajj and Umrah services.
The inspection tour also included the inspection of immigration bay number 4, which recently witnessed the inclusion of modern reception counters.  The visit also included the Command and Control Room and terminal 11, which was designed to finish pre-check in procedures for those pilgrims arriving from Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.
 
After completing the inspection tour of the Hajj terminal, the delegation proceeded with a visit of the New King Abdulaziz International Airport where they were briefed on the work progress and on the latest technological features at the airport.  They went on to tour terminal one, which is currently going through a trial operation.
 
In this regard, H.E the Transport Minister, Chairman of GACA, stressed the keenness of the Civil Aviation Authority on providing everything that will help facilitate the arrival procedures for pilgrims and visitors and reduce the time taken to end travel procedures on both arrival and departure.   This is accomplished through the coordination between all the relevant authorities and by re-working those procedures to make them easy and comprehensive, all in an effort to gain the satisfaction of pilgrims and Umrah takers in a way of achieving high performance level.
