GACA: The exemption of citizens and their non-citizens companions from taking a PCR examination for those arriving from the Ukraine

February 28, 2022

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) issued a new circular to all airlines operating in the Kingdom's airports, including general aviation and private aviation, regarding the exemption of citizens and their non-citizen companions arriving from Ukraine from taking the PCR examination.

The circular stipulates that airlines must exempt citizens and their non-citizen companions arriving from Ukraine to the Kingdom from conducting a PCR exam, provided that a covid-19 exam is carried out for a sample taken within (48) hours after their arrival in the Kingdom.

GACA stressed that non-compliance with the circulars issued by the authority is an explicit violation of Government orders, and legal measures will be taken against the violators who will be held responsible for their action.
