GACA Reviews Its Strategy and Investment Opportunities at World Defense Show 2024

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has officially launched its participation in the World Defense Show 2024, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from February 4 to 8, 2024. This esteemed event is under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Organized by the General Authority for Military Industries, it boasts participation from more than 750 entities worldwide.

GACA's participation at the World Defense Show serves to underscore the pivotal role played by the civil aviation sector in the Kingdom's national economy. It also emphasizes the promising investment opportunities within this sector, particularly following the launch of the Saudi Aviation Strategy, a crucial component of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics. This strategic initiative is designed to propel the aviation sector to new heights, both locally and internationally, positioning it as the leading sector in the Middle East.

In a related context, His Excellency Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, visited the civil aviation system's booth, along with the booths of various government agencies and private-sector companies. During his visit, he was briefed on the services, initiatives, programs, and specialized platforms offered by these agencies. Mr. Al-Duailej gained insights into their efforts in enabling digital solutions and emerging technologies, as well as the latest developments, particularly in maintenance and industrial services.

GACA's participation in the civil aviation system booth aims to introduce promising opportunities within this vital sector. It showcases the latest innovations and solutions within the aviation industry, including advanced air mobility, sustainability, and cutting-edge technologies. Furthermore, it emphasizes the essential programs and initiatives introduced by GACA to align with the goals of the national aviation strategy. This strategy is geared toward accommodating 330 million passengers annually, connecting over 250 destinations worldwide, and increasing cargo capacity to 4.5 million tons by 2030.

The civil aviation system booth presents a comprehensive range of topics, including aviation security programs and the latest technologies in airport security. It also features advanced solutions in the air transport sector and airport development, environmental sustainability within civil aviation, and enhancements to the traveler experience. All of these aspects follow the latest international systems and standards, reflecting the Kingdom’s global leadership in the air transport industry.

Moreover, the booth provides an overview of the most prominent record numbers and unprecedented achievements attained by the sector in economic and social development. It showcases the Kingdom's leading and pioneering global presence at various levels, highlighting the advanced positions and global indicators that the Kingdom has achieved within the air transport sector.
