March 9, 2022
The Saudi Air Navigation Services Company (SANS) played a key and important role in securing aircrafts movements at the World Defense Show, which was organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), where SANS established an air control tower at the Show in line with the standards and requirements of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
SANS operates the tower with qualified Saudi cadres and maintains navigational communications equipment. Furthermore, the air control tower is operated at the Show at a rate of 12 hours a day.
Furthermore, SANS provides many services at the World Defense Show, as it has worked during the past nine months with the exhibition to establish an air control tower. This in addition to supporting the operation with human cadres, and providing consultations regarding airspace and air traffic management.
It is worth noting that SANS enjoy a first place in the management of airspace, maintenance of navigational equipment and operational efficiency. This made it at the forefront of the vital and effective sectors at the World Defense Show. It is also a key element in the success of the air transport industry. SANS provides air traffic services for all aircraft that transit the Kingdom’s airspace and use its airports through systems supported by advanced navigation devices and qualified staff to ensure their work around the clock with high efficiency.
