Al-Mansouri: appreciates The Council of Ministers approval of the civil aviation sector strategy

His Excellency Abdulhadi bin Ahmed Al Mansouri, president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, raised his gratitude and appreciation to the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, may Allah protect them,  on the occasion of the council of minister’s approval of the civil aviation sector strategy within the kingdom's Vision 2030, Indicating that this approval comes as an extension of the unlimited support and continuous care which the civil aviation sector has from the leading kingdom, God supported it-with the aim of contributing to the creation of a diverse and prosperous economy and supporting the social and economic development of the kingdom.
 
His excellency noted in a press statement on this occasion, that this strategy aims to develop the civil aviation sector in the kingdom, creating an environment for global investment، this will shape the future of the aviation sector in the kingdom to be the first sector in the Middle East, increasing its contribution to the kingdom's domestic products , and support its hoped-for role in achieving the objectives of the kingdom's Vision 2030 with a focus on the kingdom to be a logistics hub connecting the three continents and globally for Transport and air freight.
 
His Excellency the president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation clarified that the approved aviation sector strategy will support several industries that fall under the civil aviation sector, including air transport, freight, and airports, enabling them to adapt to global changes and enhance their competitiveness to raise the level of services provided to citizens and residents of the Kingdom and move from monopoly to fair competition.
 
The axes of the Civil Aviation Sector Strategy include three main pillars: "supporting Vision 2030, and enabling the National Tourism Strategy, and enabling the National Tourism Strategy and strengthen the local aviation sector " in order to increase the reach of connectivity network in the kingdom, increase the share of national carriers and develop the infrastructure and operational processes of the airports, also improving the quality of services provided by sector organizations, increase the capacity of the airports in the Kingdom, and support the travel and shipping markets in the kingdom in the coming years, by taking advantage of the strategic geographical position enjoyed by the kingdom and huge investment capabilities supported by the ambitious vision.
