October 6, 2021

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced the requirement of immunization with two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine before boarding any aircraft for all passengers on domestic flights.

GACA issued a circular in this regard to all national carriers operating in the Kingdom’s airports, including private aviation, and it will be effective from Sunday the 4th of  Rabi’ Al-Awwal, 1443, corresponding to October 10, 2021.

GACA clarified that the new procedure will not be applied to groups exempted from taking the vaccine, according to what appears in the “Tawakklna” application, stressing the need to adhere to all precautionary and preventive measures, as well as protocols approved in the Kingdom. GACA stressed that legal measures will be taken against violators and they will bear the resulting responsibilities.
