GACA President Inaugurates ACAO Air Transport Forum at ICAN 2023

General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) President Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Duailj inaugurated on Monday the Air Transport Forum under the theme "Air Connectivity ... Prospects and Challenges." The forum is organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), as part of the fifteenth the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Services Negotiations (ICAN 2023) Event. A group of Arab air transport experts also participated in the forum, held at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh.

In a speech during the forum, Al-Duailj considered choosing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host the first session of the forum as an embodiment of its leading position in the air transport industry, and also a recognition of its efforts in connecting the world. He pointed out that the air transport industry in the Kingdom is a key cornerstone for achieving economic development through its contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) and its support for the tourism industry, its creation of direct and indirect job opportunities, and its support for all economic and industrial sectors to succeed, develop, and grow.

The GACA president concluded his speech by confirming the support of the Kingdom's leadership to exert all efforts to advance the civil aviation industry and support the Kingdom's leading role in the region.
