The General Authority of Civil Aviation announces the inauguration of Neom Bay Airport

Riyadh, June 25, 2019

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced today Tuesday (June 25th, 2019) the opening of Neom Bay Airport in the region of Sharma, in the northern part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

GACA explained in a press statement that the airport has been licensed by the authority as a commercial airport and is ready to receive commercial flights starting next week after the completion of the development work of the first phase of the project.   The airport was officially registered by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) earlier and given the code name "NUM".

At present time, Neom Bay Airport will operate regular flights for investors and employees of the Neom project.
