GACA concludes its participation at Dubai Airshow 2019

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has concluded its participation in the Dubai Airshow 2019, which was held from the 17th to 21st of November in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Throughout the five days duration of the airshow, it witnessed visits by a number of Royal Highnesses, Excellencies and VIPs, as well as those interested in the field of aviation, investors and aviation industry specialists from around the world.

During its GACA’s participation in the airshow, the pavilion introduced the public with GACA’s recent and future projects in the construction, development and modernization of airports throughout the Kingdom.  It also highlighted the most prominent investments, in addition to the developments that has been reached by the civil aviation sector in the Kingdom.

Throughout the duration of the airshow, GACA's pavilion was packed with visitors from around the world, where images, models and technical exhibits related to the most prominent and latest development and construction projects in the Kingdom.  The exhibit attracted visitors who expressed their admiration for a section of the pavilion called (Explore Saudi Arabia and the unique experience) and images from around the Kingdom. Furthermore, information, figures and statistics that were given, which showcased GACA’s efforts in the field of air transport industry and the 28th airports development around the Kingdom.

The interactive technology area also attracted visitors, where GACA was keen to interact with the visitors through an interactive display that shows information about GACA’s future mission and vision. It also highlighted the geographical locations of airports, the number of passengers and the number of flights.  This in addition to an interactive model of the new King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. The model shows the information and specifications of the airport. A video of the airport's engineering and technical specifications was also played to showcase the airport’s technical specification to the highest international standards.

It is worth mentioning that GACA’s pavilion at the airshow was shared by several entities that included, the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), Saudi Civil Aviation Holding Company represented by Riyadh and Dammam Airports Company, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Flynas, Taqnia Space Co. and Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation.

The airshow, which was held at Al Maktoum International Airport from November 17th to 21st, is considered one of the platforms where companies can highlight products and services related to airports and aviation. Furthermore, the airshow is meant to highlight the company’s latest expansion plans, providing a distinctive environment in which to identify the latest innovations used in the construction and equipping of airports, as well, as an opportunity to witness the latest solutions, technologies and services related to airports.

The airshow was held on an area of ​​645 thousand square meters and witnessed an official participation of all exhibitions worldwide, with the participation of 160 countries, 1300 exhibitors and 165 civil and military aircraft.
