In the presence of the president of GACA The Transport Minister oversees the departure of the first pilgrims’ flight through the “EYAB” initiative

His Excellency the Transport Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Dr. Nabeel Al-Amoudi, oversaw the departure of first pilgrims’ flight through the “EYAB” initiative launched by GACA. The initiative will benefit more than 30 thousand pilgrim during this current Hajj season (1440). The launching ceremony was in the presence of His Excellency, the president of GACA, Mr. Abdulhadi Al-Mansouri.

 

During His Excellency inspection tour of the exhibition dedicated to the pilgrims benefiting from the “Eyab” initiative, he was briefed about the services provided by the initiative that is considered one of the tributaries of the continuous development and improvement of the Hajj services. Through the initiative, GACA aims to improve and enrich pilgrims traveling experience throughout the Kingdom’s airports. Furthermore, facilitate their travel procedures by reducing the waiting period in each of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medinah.

 

It is worth noting that GACA has started implementing the pilot phase of the initiative during this current Hajj season (1440H). The initiative targeted pilgrims departing to each of (Indonesia, India and Malaysia) and will benefit more than 30 thousand pilgrim in both of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International in Medinah. The “Eyab” (Return) initiative is an electronic platform through which GACA provides unique e-services to the pilgrims of the Holy sites.
