Amongst flights intended for citizens repatriation Sydney flight arrives at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam

In compliance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense (may God protect them both), and as a result of the wise leadership and their keen interest on the safety and health of its citizens abroad in light of the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic. The decision was taken to follow-up on the citizens affairs, and that of their families and their companions since the beginning of the virus outbreak in the countries around the world. It was decided to provide everything that would guarantee their safety until they return to the homeland.  The citizens were received by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Health, and the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
 
 
Once the citizens arrive at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, all health and preventive measures in combating the novel Corona virus (Covid 19) are then applied, and the relevant government agencies represented by (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Health, and the General Authority of Civil Aviation). Several steps, procedures and preventive measures were taken. This include a (12) stage program that is applied from the arrival of citizens at the airport of the country of their departure until the arrival and departure from the kingdom's airports. The first stage involve a medical examination, which is carried out on the passengers at the airport of the country of departure, before they board the plane in which a strict consideration was taken to ensure that there are spaces between the passengers. Upon reaching the Kingdom's airports, GACA have taken all the procedures, while the passengers disembark from the plane to make sure there is no congestion inside the terminals. This in addition to providing the sterilization area at the passengers Gate Bridge.
 
It is worth noting, that the Ministry of Health has allocated a checkpoint through which all incoming passengers pass through the mandatory thermal camera area to ensure the safety of the passengers. When a positive case is suspected among the passengers, the case is then isolated from the rest of the passengers and a safe path is activated thereafter to transfer the case. Passengers are required to sterilize the hands before entering the passport control and fingerprints area. Furthermore, at the customs inspection area, a distance of at least 1.5 meters is maintained between the customs officer and the passengers. Passengers will be then assisted in the luggage handling area. Passengers will also be assisted in the baggage claim area, and in the last step, the passengers are sorted at the exit by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism in paths according to their destinations, where they will be directed to their allocated buses provided to them from the transport fleet of the Education Development Company. The passengers are transported to guesthouses that prepared by the Ministry of Tourism and supervised by the Ministry of Health for a period of 14 days, according to the health measures adopted to combat the Coronavirus epidemic.
