An American delegation concludes a visit to the Kingdom's main airports, Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah

A high-level American delegation of American airports executives and executives from air and security services companies concluded their visits to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and three international airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  The delegation visited Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport (KKIA), Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) and Jeddah’s King Abdul Aziz International Airport (KAIA). The visits began on Dec. 8 and concluded on the 12th of December at the invitation of the US–Saudi Arabian Business Council.
 
The American delegation visited today, the new King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, which is a pioneering development project that will contribute to the development of air traffic in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  The project will accommodate the ever-increasing growth in air traffic in the region. The delegation were received by the Assistant to GACA’s President for Operation, Eng. Suleiman Al Bassam, the Assistant to the President for Hajj and Umrah services, Eng. Abdullah Al Rimi, and the Director of King Abdulaziz International Airport, Mr. Essam Noor. The delegation listened to a detailed explanation about the capacity and services provided by the airport for travelers, they were also briefed on the latest technology available at the new King Abdulaziz International Airport. The airport was designed to the highest international standards; they were also briefed on most prominent investment opportunities at the airport.
 
During the past few days, the American delegation visited King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and members of the delegation took introductory tours of the terminals. Furthermore, the delegation were acquainted with the ongoing development projects, in addition to holding meetings and discussion with a number of airport officials.
 
These visits come in cooperation with the American-Saudi Business Council, with the participation of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). The delegation was approved by the US Department of Commerce, with the aim of introducing them to the Saudi market, discuss opportunities for partnerships, and exchange experiences in the aviation industry and related services. This in addition to consolidating relations with the most prominent international organizations and companies in the aviation industry, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, whose plans aim to advance the air transport industry in accordance with the highest international standards.
 
It is worth mentioning that His Excellency the Transport Minister and Chairman of GACA, Eng. Saleh Al Jasser, as well as His Excellency the President of the GACA, Mr. Abdulhadi Al Mansouri, met with the high-level American delegation. During the meeting, the President of GACA highlighted to the delegation the role of the GACA in developing the civil aviation industry and investment opportunities in civil aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  They went further to highlight a set of strategic programs, including the goals of the sector in the Kingdom's Vision 2030.  This in addition to the launch of the transformation program, improving the quality of infrastructure and airport services, increasing the airport network, and to further benefit from The unique geographical location of the kingdom that connects the three major continents.
 

This visit resulted in the signing of a joint cooperation program with the American-Saudi Business Council, aimed at setting a cooperative partnership in the civil aviation sector. This in addition to introducing some of the biggest American companies to the role of GACA and to the investment opportunities available in the aviation sector in the Kingdom. Furthermore, a chance to enhance the level of cooperation between the two parties, and exchange expertise and advice in the field of Civil Aviation.
