The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) issued its September report on the performance of domestic and international airports in Saudi Arabia.
This comes in implementation of the strategic directions aimed at enhancing the services provided to travelers and improving the travel experience across the Kingdom’s airports.
King Khalid International Airport (KKIA), King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) in Qassim, and Gurayat Domestic Airport secured top positions in the report.
For transparency in evaluating the performance of airports, GACA divides airport performance into five categories.
In the category of international airports serving more than 15 million passengers annually, Riyadh's KKIA came in first with an 82% compliance rate, followed by Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) with the same compliance rate as KKIA outperformed KAIA in terms of the average waiting time for arriving and departing flights.
