GACA is strengthening cooperation with the British Ministry of Transport in the field of aviation security

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed Supplement A of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Authority and the Ministry of Transport in the United Kingdom, regarding the exchange of training regiments and tools in the field of civil aviation security.
 
The Saudi side was represented by the Assistant to GACA President for Aviation Security, Mr. Mohammed Al-Fawzan, while the British side was represented by the Kashif Chaudry Deputy Director, Aviation Security International Operations, Department for Transport in the United Kingdom.
 
Appendix A of the memorandum of cooperation between GACA and the Transport Ministry in the United Kingdom dealt with issues of support, development and ways of raising the efficiency of staff in the field of aviation security.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two sides in April 2018 in Riyadh was aimed at enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil aviation security, qualifying and  training of staff and the buildup of their capabilities. This in addition to having access to the latest technologies and best practices in various fields of civil aviation security.
 
The agreement also included the exchange of experiences and information between the two sides to help develop and improve the civil aviation security infrastructure, standards, procedures, and policies.
