Al Mansouri heads the Kingdom's delegation at the fifth meeting of the heads of civil aviation in the Middle East

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), headed by its president His Excellency, Abdulhadi Al Mansouri, will participate in the fifth meeting of the presidents and directors of the civil aviation authorities in the Middle East. The meeting will be held during the period from 4-6 of November at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the capital city of Kuwait.

The meeting will discuss a number of items arising from the fourth meeting of the presidents and directors of the civil aviation authorities in the Middle East.  This in addition to the cooperation between the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and international and regional organizations. The meeting will also discuss civil aviation efforts to protect the environment, in addition to the current opportunities and challenges for Middle Eastern airlines and other topics on the agenda.

The meeting will be addressing the developments related to civil aviation safety, regional safety indicators, its goals and their performance. The meeting will go through the outcome of the 17th meeting of the Middle East Air Navigation Planning and the implementation of air navigation for the Middle East region.  Furthermore, it will go through the seventh meeting of the regional aviation safety group, and the achievements and challenges of air traffic management in the region.

 The fifth Middle East Civil Aviation Presidents and Directors Meeting will review the activities of the (ICAO) technical cooperation, airport fees and air navigation.  Furthermore, a review will be made of the Strategic Plan for Supporting Air Transport in the Region, as well as the Middle East Strategy in the No Country Left Behind (NCLB) Program, in its second phase. They will also go over the strategy of enhancing cooperation between MENA countries concerning the functions of the Incident Investigation Group.
