Pre-Requisites

Meeting the GACA DAR-M eligibility requirements shown in GACA eBook Volume 14 Chapter 5

Procedure

Initiation, Technical Determination, Interview, DAR Designation Number, Certificate of Designation, and Letter of Appointment. Refer to GACA eBook Volume 14 Chapter 7 Section 2.

Required Forms

1.8110-14 STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATION (DAR-DER-DME)

Required Documents

1.Letter of application addressed to Airworthiness Manager.
2.A nomination for DER involvement for a specific project.
3.Evidence that the applicant meets all eligibility requirements shown in GACA eBook Volume 14 listed in paragraph 14.5.2.7 (Domestic) or 14.5.2.9 (Foreign).
4.Copy of current FAA DAR delegation including copies of the current FAA Certificate of Authorization (or equivalent documentation issued by GACA Recognized Foreign NAA).
5.Proof of fee payment

Additional Help

1.      DAR-M may apply for renewal of his DAR-M Certificate of Designation within 15 days of its expiration date or when changes in scope of approval are sought.
2.      Applications for renewals and changes in scope of approval must follow the same procedures as described for initial DAR-M appointment.
3.      Confirmed payment of all applicable fees is a requirement for an application to be accepted for processing by the GACA
