Administrating updates of GACA Manuals and Guidance Materials.
Continuous coordination with departments and organizations units with respect to regulations, manuals and guidance materials.
Issue and update the regulatory circulars of the General Authority for Civil Aviation.
Issue and update Circulars of General Authority of Civil Aviation in respect of the functions of Safety and Air Transport sector.
Administrate proposals, and adoption of ICAO state letters.
Consultation with stakeholders regarding what will be endorsed or amended in the regulations and seeking their point of views.
File differences with the International Civil Aviation Organization and update the AIP.
Conduct an ongoing assessment of the regulations of the General Civil Aviation Authority, to ensure compliance with the laws of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and related annexes of the Chicago Convention (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-10-11-12-14-15-16-18-19).

Introduction
The Legislation Department aims to comply and apply what is stated in the Saudi Arabian Civil Aviation Law in the field of Aviation Safety by developing, updating, and administrating the General Authority of Civil Aviation Regulations, and administrating GACA manuals and guidance material. The Legislation Department lies under the Assistant President of the Safety and Security Air Transport sector.
Mission
The Legislation department will continually improve safety of air transportation by updating regulations for aviation regulations and managing versions and updates the manuals and guidance material to ensure compliance with the International Civil Aviation laws concerning annexes of the Chicago Convention (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-10-11-12-14-15-16-18-19)
