For the second year in a row and despite the conditions of the Corona pandemic, the Kingdom's international airports continue to advance among the list of the 100 best airports in the world. This came in the announcement of the results of the evaluation of the Skytrax international organization concerned with evaluating airlines and airports, in which more than 500 airports around the world participated.

According to the results of the evaluation for this year 2021, King Abdulaziz International Airport came at the forefront of Saudi international airports, ranked 50th globally, King Khalid International Airport advanced 36 places to become 58th, and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport to 68th place, advancing 16 places.  King Fahd International ranked 87th after it was ranked 91st in the world previously.

At the Middle East region, King Abdulaziz International Airport ranked third, King Khalid International Airport ranked fifth, and King Fahd International Airport ranked ninth. Meanwhile, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, which is the first airport in the Kingdom to be designated for the second year in a row, won the first place award as the best regional airport and the sixth in the Middle East.

These results come as a testament to the commitment of employees at the Kingdom’s international airports to provide the best passenger experience and to confirm the level of leadership and excellence and to move forward in the continuous development process to achieve the objectives of the civil aviation sector strategy emanating from the national strategy for transport and logistics services and to achieve advanced global positions. This in addition to enhancing the efforts of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to raise the quality of services provided to passengers and develop the travel experience at the Kingdom's airports.

It is worth noting that GACA continues to implement the comprehensive program to assess the quality of airport services provided to travelers in all of the Kingdom's airports, which comprehensively covers all aspects of the evaluation of services provided to passengers transiting through the Kingdom's airports.
